COMPOSITION
Each CGON tablet contains
Paracetamol IP 500 mg
phenylephrine HCL 10 mg
Caffeine ( anhydrous ) IP 30 mg
chlorpheniramine maleate IP 2 mg

MODE OF ACTION
CGON tablet contains clinically proven analgesic - antipyretic paracetamol with decongestant phenylephrine and an antihistamine chlorpheniramine. paracetamol produces analgesia by elevation of the pain threshold and antipyretic effect through action on the hypothalamic heat regulating center
chlorpheniramine in CGON provides prompt relief in itchy- watery eyes, running nose, sneezing ,itching of the nose or throat.
CGON tablet contains a decongestant phenyephrine , which provides prompt relief of nasal and sinus congestion
caffeine in CGON tablet enhances the analgesic activity of paracetamol and serves to reduce the sedating effect of chlorpheniramine.
INDICATIONS
CGON tablet is indicated for-
1 relief of nasal and sinus congestion
2 relief of allergic symptoms of the nose or throat due to upper respiratory tract allergies.
3 relief of sinus pain and headache.
4 adjunct with antibacterials in sinusitis , tonsillitis and otitis media
5 post operative after tonsillectomy.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
The use of CGON tablet is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the formulation
PRECAUTIONS
CGON tablet contains paracetamol therefore should not be used in conjunction with other paracetamol containing products.
It is advisable not to drive or operate machinery when on treatment with CGON
DOSAGE
The usual recommended dose of CGON tablets in adults is 1 tablet TID / QID
