Each 1 ml contains------alfa- beta arteether 75 mg

MODE OF ACTION
MPGO upon entry into infected RBC binds to haemozoin and forms free radicals which causes impairment of cell memebrane causing cell death
INDICATIONS
1 resistant malaria
2 cerebral malaria
DOSAGE
ADULT -----------------150 mg OD IM for 3 days
PEDIATRIC DOSE----- 3 mg / kg /day IM for 3 days
PREGNANCY
MPGO can be used to treat uncomplicated falciparum malaria in the second and third trimesters of pregnancy.
